Junior Triathlon

Approximately 5 Junior Tri events are held each season - the dates & information for 2020 will be posted next season.

These are the following options/distances:​

  1. 50m Swim / 1.5 km Ride / 500m Run
  2. 100m Swim / 3 km Ride / 1 km Run
  3. 200m Swim / 4.5 km Ride / 2 km Run

Under 7's are only permitted to participate in option 1.

Registration is at 7.00am, race briefing 7.15am, 7.20am Race start.

This race will not be timed as it is aimed at fun & fitness for children

Race Info

Parents will be expected to escort younger children to and from the pool and supervise them at all times while they are swimming.

Children can swim in the small heated pool or the large pool, whatever they are most comfortable in.

Once they exit the pool they will run down to where their bikes are racked in the transition area and head out on the bike path, parents are welcome to accompany their children on the bike course.

​The bike course is 1.5km, One lap for option 1, 2 laps for option 2 and 3 laps for option 3, of the bike path , starting with the path parallel with playing fields, right onto Maxwell St, right onto Johnston St and follow bike path back to transition.

The run for option 1 & 2 will be marked out on the playing fields, with option 3's run doing one lap of the bike course and the remaining distance on the playing fields.

We suggest you get down there at approx. 6.45am to set up in transition.
